Hi there! My name is Emily Wick and I live in northern Minnesota near Grand Marais a small harbor town on Lake Superior’s North Shore. I am passionate about deepening my connection to nature, others, and self through making, whether that be weaving, writing, or something else. I began weaving in 2018 on a small lap loom I’ve had since childhood, and started to pursue it more seriously in early 2019 when I got a new, more modern frame loom. I continue to develop and find my voice. The intention of my work is to capture the energy and beauty of the incredible environment of the North Shore and boreal forest that I am privileged to call home.
