Three night stay in San Francisco's Diamond Heights, the mid-century neighborhood

This auction is for a 3 night stay for four in San Francisco’s mid-century gem of a neighborhood, Diamond Heights. Located in the hills over looking the city, the house offers stunning, unobstructed views of downtown SF, the bay, Bay Bridge, San Rafael Bridge, Mt. Diablo and beyond, as well as period furnishings. Also included is a private tour of the neighborhood given by Hannah Simonson, President of the Northern California Chapter of Docomomo US.

Developed in the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s, Diamond Heights contains the largest concentration of architect-designed mid-century homes and buildings in the city. This particular home is part of a planned development designed by Bob Geering for Fisher Friedman Associates for the developer, American Housing Guild. Known as Gold Mine Hill, this development was awarded in the 1969 Homes for Better Living program by House & Home magazine and the AIA.
