Two small silkscreens by Alma Goetsch

Two rare silkscreens c1960s by Alma Goetsch, of the Frank Lloyd Wright Goetsch and Winckler House, 1939-40. These bold and appealing planographic work in color on artist paper measure 4" x 9" and are not signed. They were created as Christmas cards that Goetsch and Winckler sent out and also sold.

Alma Goetsch (1901-1968) taught art for many years at Michigan State College (eventually Michigan State University) in East Lansing. Her styles reflected the many trends of the 20th century and her work shows she was comfortable in many media, especially the graphic arts. Together with her partner Kathrine Winckler, she commissioned the second of Frank Lloyd Wright's Usonian homes ever built (1940).

This work is in good condition and unframed.
