"Sparkling Serenity" by Jocelyne Holmes

Anyone who has had the opportunity to paddle a canoe over the surface of an unspoiled lake on a calm sunny day, knows the intense feeling of serenity which is sustained with every dip of the paddle.

What I have tried to capture is the essence of that pristine water and its interaction with the paddle under a bright blue sky.

I have designed filigrees madw with different gauges of copper wire and a variety of individual glistening beads.  They are attached to the paddle in a manner representative of sparkling water in motion.
