This mixed media piece measures 36" x 36" and is on a 1.5" deep cradled wood panel. It was created by Lopez artist Amy Ferron.
Amy Ferron is a mixed media artist who's unique shapes and papers create their own world. Amy's decades as a master quilter inform her painting style, translating from fabric into paint and collage the artful play of paper that she uses to define space with light and dark.
Her paintings and collages have been exhibited at the Whatcom Museum of Art, the Cascadia Art Museum, Seattle City Hall, Washington State Convention Center, the Anacortes Art Festival and numerous private galleries and juried shows. Amy paints her backgrounds applies used maps, found papers, hand painted papers, block printed papers and purchased papers to create her pieces.
