Mermaid's Garden. (PRO)
I live in the woods. This painting was inspired by my own daydreaming as I lay under the skylight in my house looking up at the tall trees swaying in the wind. I started to imagine that they were giant kelp fronds swaying in the current and that I was a mermaid lying on the ocean floor. I started to imagine what else I might see as I lay there. The incredible colours, the creatures and plants. This painting took almost a year to complete as I added layer upon layer of colour to my 'garden'. The finished size is 50" x 40. It is painted with acrylics and is on canvas.
