Meet the Matriarch (PRO)
I answered the call of the wild. Pacific Wild's #wildauction2020 Auction to be exact. "Meet the Matriarch" is an 8"x10" fine art acrylic photograph set in a contemporary, cutting edge media with strikingly vivid colors and stunning depth to create a unique print that’s sure to be the focal point in any room. This print will be framed in a classic black, floating frame. There are three eco-types of killer whales that inhabit the Pacific Ocean: Northern and Southern Resident killer whales, Biggs’ killer whales (a.k.a. Transient killer whales), and Off-shore killer whales. Photograph of J19 Shachi, the matriarch of J-pod surfacing off Land Bank, Westside Preserve, San Juan Island, WA. J19 Shachi was born in 1979, she is the mother of J41 Eclipse and grandmother of J51 Nova and J58 (the news J-pod killer whale to join this magnificent family). Limited edition print. Bidder is responsible for shipping. I have committed to donate all proceeds from the sale of my photograph, "Meet the Matriarch", to Pacific Wild, an organization that works to support the protection of endangered wildlife and rare ecosystems on the Pacific Coast through education and research based endeavors.
