Inspired by the anatomical engravings of marine life found in encyclopedias, this drawing is meant to represent the crustaceans that live on our shores and the permanent effects they have on our ecosystems. Drawn to express the texture of the shell, and using organic shapes, the crab’s rocky exterior is meant to symbolize its close relation to the earth.
