The Original iPhone collection is a "way back" trip into iPhone history! Three generations of rare iPhones from 1995 to 2000 are up for auction for the first time in twenty years.

History
InfoGear Technology created the award-winning iPhone concept in 1995 and produced working units in 1997. The original visionary was Bob Ackerman who saw the technology in a lab and made it all happen. Three years, three versions and $27M later, infoGear was acquired by Cisco for $301M in 2000. The first “Apple iPhone” was introduced in 2007.

This extremely rare collection includes:

1 Proof of Concept iPhone (serial 001) – 1996: This unit came from Israel InfoGear office where it first came to life on a laboratory test bench.
1 White Cidco Clay Model – 1997: Non-functional, full-size model of first-gen unit. This unit was used to pitch silicon valley venture capitalists.
1 Black demo model – 1997: The first "working" proof of concept phone.
1 White Cidco iPhone – 1998: First generation to be manufactured and sold to the public. 5000 units were sold to a New Zealand company, Telepos.
1 White InfoGear iPhone (foam model) – 1999: Nonfunctional Model used to conceptualize 2nd generation product.
1 White InfoGear iPhone – 1999: 2nd gen model sold to the public.
1 Black InfoGear iPhone – 1999: 2nd gen model sold to the public (in black)
1 Translucent "Clear" InfoGear iPhone – 1999: Manufactured before color was added to the plastics.
2 Custom carrying cases and adapters: These were the actual cases carried around the world by InfoGear sales teams.
