This item has been part of Lama John's collection since the early 2000's, when he began regularly visiting Nepal to reconnect with Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, Tsoknyi Rinpoche, and other lamas and to give lectures at Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche's monastic university.
