Mother (PRO)
This 18 x 24" piece is about accepting two major responsibilities in my life. One is to the wilderness of Canada and one is to my power as a woman to affect a lasting, positive and healing change on the world around me. It is accepting a new stage in my life, the metaphorical stage of "motherhood," and the strengths that this stage of my life brings with it. Essential to this, for me, is embracing my role in protecting the Earth and her creatures, giving a voice to those creatures and plants that can not reach the ears of the human masses. This is especially true for the Pacific Coast and British Columbia, the only place I have been that I feel truly at home.
