Flagstaff Hill Day/Night Family Experience

Begin your journey in the state-of-the-art Immersion Theatre for a snapshot of Warrnambool’s early history and a taste of the amazing stories you are about to discover in the village and museum.

The museum is home to Australia’s richest collection of shipwreck artefacts from some of the 200 ships known to have been wrecked along this coast.

From the everyday items of passengers to the famous Loch Ard Peacock statue valued at over $4 million, all have a tale to tell.

Underwater videos show the final resting place for some of the region’s doomed vessels, while spectacular sailing footage from 1929 captures wild storms encountered around Cape Horn.

Your entry includes a guided tour beginning the Loch Ard Peacock at 11.30am. One of our knowledgeable guides in full period costume will lead the 40-minute tour, regaling you with interesting facts about the museum’s collection and life in the 19th century.
