Join Lisa Anderson-Zhu, associate curator of Ancient Mediterranean art and curator of the Excursions installation, for a virtual tour and discussion of the masterpieces that have been placed in dialogue with each other. You are then invited for a self-guided visit to the installation before it closes in Fall 2021. You will also receive your own copy of the publication, Excursions Through the Collection, to help you make additional excursions exploring the Walters Art Museum collections! The collections of the Walters Art Museum bring people and art together for enjoyment, discovery, and learning, with masterpieces from around the world over seven millennia. In 2020, the museum published a new highlights guide, Excursions through the Collection, which explores 150 artworks objects through the lens of themes, creating new dialogues and connections among the objects.

Accompanying the publication of the highlights guide, selected objects from three themes have been brought together in a special installation exploring the themes of Portraiture, Adornment, and the Natural World from antiquity to the 20th century.
