Beam Bowl - created by Mike Nowell, SRV's Wood Shop Teacher
This small bowl is the fourth in a series to be turned from a beam taken from an historic Rose Valley mill house. The house was built in 1860 but growth rings visible on the 150+ year old beam suggest that the red oak it was hewn from lived for at least 100 years before it was felled. The humble vessel represents an altogether unique opportunity to own a piece of Rose Valley's history.
