Description About the Art/Style: John Enete is both an Industrial Designer and Illustrator. He derives inspiration in his industrial design aesthetics from his love of sketching and painting nature. He often employs sketching techniques traditionally suited for industrial subjects to illustrate landscape scenes because of the interesting exercise in depicting complex systems of random trees/branches/flowers with a few stylized gestural lines. Brief Bio of the Artist and Style of Work: John did not get serious about his drawing and painting until he graduated with a degree in Graphic Communication from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. While working as a technical illustrator producing primarily technical based diagrams, John spent his nights and weekends pouring through any and every educational resource he could acquire that pertained to drawing and painting. After taking night classes in figure drawing from the local junior college, as well as private lessons out of a painter's studio, John prepared a portfolio and was admitted to Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, where he studied a hybrid of Industrial Design and Illustration. Since then John has worked in the fields of architecture, amusement park and museum development, consumer electronics, advertising, fashion, children's publishing, furniture design, and think tank style prototyping.
