"Path" Mural Concept by Matt Halm is marker on paper. The image size is 5.5" x 9.5". Framed it is 10" x 17.5".   

The last image is the actual mural that was inspired by the drawing. (which can be seen at 932 Hamilton Street, Allentown)

Matt's story: As a mural artist, a lot of my projects have set parameters with predetermined themes and styles. While I enjoy this sort of artistic problem solving, sometimes it's fun to be free of any plan or expection. My sketchbook is a place where I can run wild creatively.  This drawing started as just a fun doodle.  In September of this year (2024), I was invited to be a part of "Art Jam" in Allentown, where 17 artists created murals along an exterior corridor dubbed "The Path".  The artists were given an opportunity to create in any style and subject.  So I found this drawing in my sketchbook, and thought it would make a great piece.  I wanted the mural to look like it was a big page ripped out of a sketchbook and taped right to the wall.  This sketch was used as the visual reference for the mural .
