"Portrait of a Thinker" by Daniel James Breaux 16x20

Original 16x20 oil painting by Daniel James Breaux (1947-2004)

Longtime fan of New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, musician, carpenter, and prominent artist from Houma, Louisiana. Daniel James Breaux was gifted with a most diverse skill set very few can claim with their lives. Having graduated from Terrebonne High School in 1964, Breaux soon became known as a Renaissance man with the products of his hands. He was self taught an an artist, pianist, and violinist, but those who knew him all agreed that his creations rivaled those of the most trained in the fields. He was passionate about his heritage and his work. He ran a successful art studio in New Orleans and taught at the City's Academy of Fine Arts. Sadly, his prolific life was cut short after a day of celebration at the New Orleans Jazz Fest, the festival he loved so dearly.  This piece "Portrait of a Thinker" is a Daniel Breaux original work of art as verified by his brother Marc.
