This screen print was featured in Richmond Art Gallery’s 2024 exhibition Let the Real World In. The work, commissioned by RAG, was created in the vibrant, artisanal tradition of Cuban political and cultural poster-making from the 1960s, 70s, and 80s, in response to video work in the exhibition.

Yaimel López Zaldívar is a Cuban multi-media artist based in Canada. His work as a professional encompasses experimental animation, print media, graphic design and illustration. Since May 2019, he is based in Vancouver, where he works as an artist, graphic designer, and educator. As an artist, he has collaborated with various organizations, including the Vancouver Latin-American Film Festival (VLAFF), Vancouver Latin-American Cultural Center (VLACC), and Vancouver Foundation. He has been involved in many group and solo exhibitions. His work has been published in several books and magazines and is now part of the Burnaby Art Gallery's Permanent Collection.
