Linda Bickerton-Ross is a Fine Art photographer living in White Rock, British Columbia. Her background includes studies and work as a musician, educator and photographer. As a young person, she had the fortunate experience to live and study in Toronto and New York City – both major influences in her life.

Wrong Way, from her Parkade Poetry Series, illustrates Bickerton-Ross/s keen eye for contemporary photography. The contradictions in this photograph cause the viewer to give it a second look. Often, when faced with competing signs and exits while deep underground, people have feelings of confusion and claustrophobia. The photographer wanted to maintain this quality of angst, while at the same time infusing a whimsical element into the work. Printing the photograph on alupanel adds to this complexity, giving Wrong Way a pop art/street sign quality.
