"Girls Canoe Anything" by Jaclyn Dionne

Decorated with the artist’s favourite flowers from her garden, “Girls Canoe Anything” was created to reflect the feminine playfulness of girls and young women who thrive out in nature, on the water.

The bold art on the paddle was drawn digitally by Jaclyn Dionne.  Jaclyn printed the art on specialty art paper using a high resolution printer and then applied and sealed it on the wooden paddle.

FRONT:  Floating on top, Shasta Daisies and Coneflowers adorn the paddle with the center of one Shasta Daisy enhanced with tiny, delicate Swarovski crystals.  The interlocking background stripes, traditional to decorative paddles, have a modern twist in that each stripe has a textile pattern as opposed to a solid colour. (Yes, real textile patterns; if you contact the artist you can order custom fabric to match the paddle.)

BACK:  With a nod to old travel trunks covered in destination stickers, the back of the paddle has a lighthearted take with “stickers” that have a play on words such as “Girls Canoe Anything.”
