Machapuchare Moonlight

An approximately 8 x 10 inch photograph. Nepal: Annapurna Sanctuary is a continuously changing atmosphere of sensory experience. In the morning, the cold morning sun struggles to rise up over the towering 8000m meter peaks. Throughout the day, billowing white clouds flow with the wind across the deep cobalt blue skies. While looking across the glacial ravine, the late afternoon silence is broken by a single stone that falls down onto the glacier below. At sunset, a transient, fine veil of mist vanishes into the deep plum and orange hues of twilight as the moonrises into evening darkness.
