Bronze Buddha Statue
This lovely Buddha statue, made of brass or bronze, has a special provenance. It was obtained during a retreat led by Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche during June of 2003 at Crestone, Colorado. Rinpoche had recently obtained land there and his sangha held a fundraiser towards the design and construction of a new long-term retreat center.
Rinpoche had several brand new statue consecrated and filled with relics by his attendant Tibetan monks. The donor of this item had the opportunity to visit the house while the monks were performing the consecration ceremony and took the photo on the accompanying image above, along with a card that describes the contents that were put into each rupa. It really is a special dharma item that contains relics from many of Natural Dharma Fellowship’s rimé lineage holders.
Dimensions: 8 inches tall
