Women at Sera Gompa
An 8 x 10 inch Photograph—Tibet, Sera Gompa: The photographer writes, “I met these women who were on a pilgrimage to visit Sera monastery in Lhasa. The monasteries are vibrant places to meet Tibetan pilgrims from all across Tibet. Many pilgrims travel days, weeks, and months to visit the great monasteries around Lhasa such as Sera, Drepung, and Ganden. The pilgrims often have little personal possessions, but you can see a genuine happiness on their faces as they come for the pilgrimage.”
