Buddha Family WonderMala, made and blessed by Lama Willa
The Buddha Family WonderMala is a hefty, medium sized mala made of bone, cool to the touch, with turquoise and pewter accent beads. In tantric symbolism, bone and the color white is associated with the Buddha Family (from among the Five Buddha Families), and the transformation of ignorance into wisdom. This color is associated with the deities Chenresig, Vajrasattva, Vairocana and White Tara.
This mala is made with 108 beads, with accent beads placed at the 7th, 21st and 54th beads, as is customary for counting mantras. The strongest mala-cord available was used on this mala, for years of regular use. Beads are 10mm.
WonderMalas are made using designs from Eastern Tibet with the old-world philosophy that durability and functionality are the most important qualities for prayer beads.
