About the Artist - Suzanne Crosby 

From the beginning, Suzanne was destined to be Jersey Shore Girl!  Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, her first home in a bassinet was on Water Street.  While she was raised in the suburbs of Chicago, she returned “home” as soon as she could to be closer to the Jersey Shore.

Now living on the Shark River in Monmouth County, Suzanne has come to appreciate the tidal flows and the variety of wildlife that pass through as the seasons change.  Today, birds, aquatic life and her general love of the ocean are the primary sources of inspiration for much of her artistic endeavors.

Suzanne studied art in the atelier style at The Art Students League of New York where she was taught, critiqued, and encouraged by notable professionals including Will Barnet, Timothy J. Clark, Fredrick Wong, Nicky Orbach and Ellen Eagle.  In a world full of exceptional artistic talent, she aims to encourage thought, inspire action, and bring some smiles to those she is fortunate enough to meet through art.    

In 2021, Suzanne founded Art for Sea, a coalition of artists who produce and sell art to support clean water initiatives.  As a member of this coalition, she is honored to present a silent auction item in support of Waterspirit.
