Day’s End is a part of the Limited Edition series Wine Work – celebrating the striking beauty and variety of viticulture through the course of a year. From the furious motion of a wood chipper returning pruned canes to the earth, to the luminous energy of spring and bone-aching fatigue of harvest, each of the images in this collection shares a story of the vibrant world and people behind the wine. Photographer Suzanne Becker Bronk, produces images for Napa Valley wineries, vineyards and individuals that feel at once contemporary and deeply nostalgic. Her photography reflects her love of the land, its people and their work, presenting compelling visual narratives of the region with unusual perspectives and an arresting interplay of light and shadow. Her gift for capturing the energy of movement—honed by training in dance photography with Lois Greenfield—brings dynamic intensity, dimension and honesty to her subjects. Suzanne is the resident photographer at Caldwell Vineyard and Chase Cellars where a permanent and rotating collection of her work is on exhibit.
