"The Amazing Colorful world" by Sky Room Students
Ladies and gentlemen..we present to you, on behalf of the children of Sky Room….named by them…their piece of art - THE AMAZING COLORFUL WORLD”!
The Sky Room children have been inspired by the famous Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky’s “Cityscapes”. They used bold colors and made individual concentric hearts using water color pencils on water color paper. Then they used brushes gently dipped in water and went over the color to give it a water color effect. They observed as the colors blended and emerged more rich and deep! The children then worked on the buildings with black markers of varying tip points. They were given little direction on the shapes and lines they could use to create patterns on the buildings and thus, there creativity overflowed to create their own design. What added further dimension to the drawings was the fact that the buildings given to them varied in shape, height and width. The hearts were then pasted on a poster board and the buildings at the base in front of the hearts to form of a city skyline. The completed work was then coated with ‘Modge Podge’ to give it a gloss finish and then framed. Against the black and white, the richness of color stood out more intense to the eye. It’s as if the children’s hearts and souls resonated from this piece of art to the heart of the viewer.

Please make sure your name and the items you have won are referenced either on the check or a note attached to the check. If payment has not been received by 6pm on Tuesday, 3/6, we will charge the credit card on file for the item(s) won.
Item collection: Please look out for communications from HPMS after the auction for instructions on collecting the items you have won.
