Having worked in some facet of the retail world on and off since I was 16, opening a little “Mom & Pop” shoppe has been my dream for as long as I can remember. As my buying and product-development career advanced, I found my travel schedule becoming more intense and far-reaching. This was all fine and dandy until our identical twin boys were born in 2008. Skyping with 2-year-olds while working in China did not work well for me!

I wanted to create a business that would become a bright spot in the community where my family lives – so on September 14th, 2011, I opened Poppy! I love meeting and getting to know the people who live in St. Paul and our surrounding communities. I love helping people get a great fit and find unique apparel and accessories – from extra small to extra large, we have something for everyone! I love hosting events and evolving Poppy into a spot where you can find your favorite pieces in an easy-going atmosphere. What I love most of all is when people stop me to tell me how many compliments they get when they wear their clothes from Poppy!​
