Haitian Workers After the Earthquake

On January 12, 2010, a 7.0 earthquake and aftershocks of 5.0 – 5.9 decimated Haiti. It was the strongest quake to hit the region in over 200 years and its epicenter was just 10 miles outside Haiti’s capital city, Port-au-Prince. The quake killed over 250,000 people. Millions were suddenly homeless. The island nation’s infrastructure was destroyed. This dramatic painting by artist Patrick LaFontan depicts workers helping to rebuild the country after the devastation.

Original Oil on Canvas 69” x 50” Signed by the artist.
