The Secret Garden Maytham Shawl

This maytham shawl was hand-knit by Stephanie Smith using a merino wool blend, and using the pattern by Helen Stewart. The pattern and texture represents Neo-Gothic architecture, as seen by the intricate and delicate placement of the several aspects such as the "windows" depicted in the shawl. Helen themed the shawl's pattern after the book, "The Secret Garden" by Frances Hodgson Burnett, for the house that the author loved.  This shawl was designed as a tribute to this classic novel.
