Antique Barrister Bookcase

This antique barrister bookcase is made by The Globe-Wernicke Company known form their high end bookcases.  This beautiful piece of furniture is an 'elastic bookcase' also known as a modular bookcase.  Each shelf is glass fronted and an individual unit allowing the bookcase to adapt to different heights.  These bookcases are highly desired by collectors often selling for $900 or more.  The bookcase is in great condition with only one knob missing from top glass panel. The book case is 55 1/2" high 34" wide 12 1/2" deep with four sections.
