Alice Anne is a renowned Birder & Galveston County Audubon Group Trip Leader and Chair of the Galveston Island Tree Conservaancy.  Post retirement she has focused her time on coastal preservation.  She is a long time Artist Boat supporter, her next door neihbor.  

The also includes a local guide  "Birdlife of Galveston" and 2023 Calendar by Jim Stevenson as well as a picnic lunch.

This is a popular birding trip for beginning and Intermediate birders who would like to learn more about how to SEE the amazing numbers of birds on Galveston Island.  Many birds live here year round like gulls, egrets, herons, and the beautiful Rosette Spoonbill.  Others come in winter, like ducks nd Sandhill Cranes, Spring and Fall brings birds that are heading north to their breeding grounds or south for the winter.  These migrating birds include warblers, buntings,orioles, and tanagers.  Shore birds are what makes Galveston birding popular year round especially on the East End Flats which is the winter home of the endangered Piping plover.  Over 300 bird species can be seen throughout the year.
