Scott Gentling Jumbo Print

Scott and Stuart Gentling were from Fort Worth, where they built a regional and national reputation for their watercolor paintings. Their artistic interests were far-ranging and included natural history, Aztec Mesoamerica, 18th-century fashion, landscape, and portraiture. The Amon Carter Museum of American Art houses more than 80 watercolors by the Gentlings, including the original bird paintings from their best-known project, Of Birds and Texas.
