Join Alice Anne and Anna as you bird one of the top winter birding spots on the Upper Texas Coast.  This will include the east end of Seawall Blvd, Boddecker Road and the East End Flats as well as one of Galveston's hidden gems, the East End Lagoon Nature Park and Preserve (EEL).  Spanning almost 700 acres the EEL is one of the largest undeveloped spaces on Galveston Island.  Its unique ecology includes coastal prairie, tidal and non-tidal wetlands, a freshwater pond, beach dunes and marine coastline.  

WInter birding on the East End of Galveston Island will introduce you to many species of winter resident birds that call Galveston home from November to March.  You can expect to see over 50 species of birds from the tiny Least Sandpiper and the endangered Piping Plovers to our largest birds the Brown and White Pelicans.

The trip is perfect for beginners and experienced birders alike and a chance to see the birds that spend the winter in Galveston!
