SCA Introduction to Coffee Online Course

Coffee Project NY is a Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Premier Training Campus that serves up incredible coffee (as Time Out NY’s most loved New York coffee shop) alongside in-depth coffee knowledge. In doing so, they prioritise social impact through sustainable sourcing, using education to push for a fairer value chain, and investing in community projects at origin.

They continue this by generously contributing a spot in their online Introduction to Coffee course. This is a SCA Coffee Skills Program course and is the most comprehensive 1-day course one can take in the industry. No prior knowledge in coffee is required. Upon completion of an exam, students will receive certificate of recognition by the SCA.

You’ll learn about coffee’s journey from its origins in Ethiopia to the major commodity it is today. From growing the cherries through grading, roasting, and brewing, this module provides an overview of the entire coffee value chain.
