Nicknamed “The Bottle Opener” by locals during its lengthy design process, this abstract, stainless steel representation of KPF’s 2008 Shanghai World Financial Center skyscraper lives up to its namesake with a functioning bottle opener at its summit. Originally sold in the observation deck, this souvenir model comes in its original box and unlike perhaps every other object in this portion of the auction, performs a non-visual function.
