I reject the idea that multiculturalism has failed. Living most of my years in the American Southwest, multiculturalism is the root of our identity. The wall, at its root, is a symbol of monoculturalism and isolation, and it is broken. It is my hope and work to, instead, cast the seed for a living, vibrant future.
