Thinking about the project and thought i would share this as well. Both sides of my family: grandparents came to the US in the early 1900's. They worked hard, made it possible for their kids to graduate from college and persue advanced degrees.Education,family and church were primo and they passed this down along with a love of their adopted country. My father gave me an old sign he had framed. It is still on display in my home. It is a reminder of the struggle my grandparents had and those who came before them. The sign reads "Help Wanted No Irish Need Apply".

Today you could insert a number of countries of origin in place of tthe Irish.
It was abhorrent then and still remains.

So the above is also a reason why I am happy to support this art project.
