In the world today we have so many problems caused by overcrowding and overgrowth. These problems that refugees face have been around in some form for centuries and will not go away unless we as a world community can work together to really deal. With the world population growing so rapidly we must fight for those who's life, land and culture are being squeezed out of existence no matter where or why. We must learn to change our thinking about "the other" and share our food our homes and our ideas. As a human race we have to start thinking about the global tribe, and move away from thinking of ourselves in terms of division. When people are fighting and dying to keep their families alive and don't even have a permanent home, something must be done. This project speaks to me because it helps create awareness and real support for people who need it desperately.
