Two one-hour math tutoring sessions (any level)

Mathematically Gifted & Black, Dr. Akinpelu is donating two, one hour math tutoring sessions at any level.

At Duke University Dr. Jackie Akinpelu's mathematics world broadened greatly, but she loved every minute of it, and graduated in 1975 magna cum laude with a BA in mathematics. It was in graduate school in the Mathematical Sciences Department at the Johns Hopkins University that she got her first real exposure to “applied mathematics,” and she completed a doctoral thesis on a topic in inventory systems management (1980).

Jackie Akinpelu was an Assistant Branch Supervisor at the JHU Applied Physics Laboratory with over 30 years of experience modeling and developing computer systems for telecommunication networks and service operations in a highly competitive corporate environment. Prior to APL, she had a long career at AT&T and has experience in university teaching. Dr. Akinpelu has been a long-time active member of the Johns Hopkins alumni community.
