Lego Architecture Series #21035 (Retired Product) - Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum/Frank Lloyd Wright
“They” say that LEGO sets are for children. “They” apparently don’t know that it’s adults who love architecture who are fueling the ever increasing prices of the LEGO Architectural Series sets that have been retired from production. Well, LEGO-loving adults out there, this one is special.
This model LEGO 21035 is no longer in production. This is a factory sealed, unopened new box. It is an accurately detailed LEGO model which faithfully recreates the curves and distinctive lines that have made this building an architectural icon for the last half-century.
Construct one of the most significant architectural icons of the 20th century. Located in New York City, the internationally renowned Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is hailed as one of Frank Lloyd Wright's greatest achievements. Or, on the other hand, don't open the box and keep it aside for a few years. These retired sets are increasing in value every single year.
The building was commissioned in 1943, and on October 21, 1959, Wright's masterpiece was opened to the public, gaining immediate recognition as an architectural landmark.
The simple, grid-patterned facade of the annex tower complements the main building with its circular rotundas, while buildable exterior elements depict a section of New York City's 5th Avenue Museum Mile, complete with its signature yellow cabs.
The Guggenheim sign, featuring Wright's architectural lettering, has also been recreated in a similar typeface to heighten the authenticity of the model.
This LEGO Architecture model has been designed to deliver a rewarding building experience for all with an interest in architecture, travel, history and design, and is suitable for display in the home and office.
The LEGO 21035 Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum was released in the year 2017. The set contains 743 parts. The set comes with no minifigures and 1 instruction. The set is suitable for children from 12 year old. Built structure measures over 4inches (12cm) high, 7inches (19cm) wide and 5inches (14cm) deep
