You've never seen Albert Frey, Donald Wexler, William Cody, Robert Alexander and Francis Crocker quite this way before! Palm Springs Getaway will have you laughing and learning about how the city became the destination it is today.
It's a fun and nostalgic romp through the popular oasis featuring glimpses of history, icons and the celebrities who made the city famous. With a collection of well-known and original songs, and for the holiday season some holiday favorites added in, the show transports audiences from the early desert landscape to the vibrant and inclusive community people know and love today – and every decade in between. Palm Springs Getaway is a theatrical history lesson of sights, sounds and songs that have been notable in Palm Springs throughout the decades.
Being produced at the Palm Canyon Theatre, the show is a collaborative effort, featuring writing by Cara Van Dijk, direction and choreography from Se Layne, and additional material from Eric Stein-Steele. The musical runs at the Palm Canyon Theatre from Dec. 2-18 and Jan. 20-29.
Palm Canyon Theatre has donated 26 tickets for the Saturday, December 17th performance at 8:00 p.m. to Modernism Week for the online auction, which we can offer at a special online auction-only price of $25 ($38 regular price).
