Bio: Dana Caldera is a mixed-media visual artist. Her pieces combine found collage material, handmade paper, textiles, painting, and drawing into intricately layered compositions.

"A Thread Interrupted" is a series of four found photographs, altered with collage and mark making. The original photographs featured people in conversation and the abstract elements of the collage and artist's marks disrupt the conversation, bringing to light the tension between who we are inside and how we present ourselves to others.
