Daniel Bourbonnais - Barr Street Market
Oil and acrylic on canvas panel

Bio: My art career started in California as a teenager studying Graphic Design and airbrushing T-shirts in the 70's. Then I moved to South Padre Island, Texas, and worked as a designer and illustrator in the 80's. My career path took another turn when I learned Computer Graphics in the 90's and started working as a Computer Game Artist.
Painting was put on the back burner until I retired recently and started looking at the world with a painter's eye. When I took up painting again, after putting it away for 25 years, I immediately started looking around for locations in Fort Wayne. I ended up taking tons of photos in all of the parks around town at all times of day.
There are several scenes on display today showing Foster Park and other garden spots around my '07 neighborhood. I am always looking for the subtle color changes occurring in bright sunlight or deep shadow. I like to challenge myself. It forces me to work a little beyond my ability.
