I decided to participate in Art for the Paws because I believe that every living thing deserves a loving and caring home. Animals are the number one priority surrounding me today. I own fish, a hamster, horses, and my second rescue dog. My dog is my best friend. She is loyal, loud, comforting, and sometimes she can be a little unique in a weird way. She loves people and she came from the streets of Kentucky. She is a little frisky around men but once she sees them a few times she chills out a bit. The reason I decided to do a piece of turtle art is because in the summer we have a pond in the back yard and we catch turtles, fish and frog and then release them after observing. Turtles are my favorite to catch because its a challenge and they are beautiful and one of a kind animals. We have snapping turtles and painted turtles in the pond. I made this art pieces because the inspiration of the unique and beautiful turtles. I used colored pencil to color the art and regular pencil to make the outlines.
