In this piece titled "Can't Breathe" artist Lisa Nigro makes a statement about the death of George Floyd using mixed media of clay, paint and collage. The addition of butterflies add to the hopeful feeling of spreading wings and being free but at the core of this is the heart hanging in chains.
Lisa Nigro is an interdisciplinary, multi-media artist working in sculpture, painting, and interactive installation art. Inspired by mythology, gender politics, and pop culture, Lisa’s works address the problematics of a patriarchal society and challenge modern culture’s attitudes toward mythological story. Through the use of mythological icons she attempts to create a bridge between history and the present, matriarchy and patriarchy, and the old religions versus the new. The incorporation of the elements earth, air, fire, water, metal, and wood is integral to her work, as is the use of recycled materials, and an obsession with process and repetition. Lisa’s competence in metal fabricating, sculpting, and interior design prevail within a greater ability for combining art with design and functionality.

Shipping fees will be handled as a separate payment and an invoice will be sent for the shipping amount due. This will be determined once address is given and the altar is packed up for shipping. Circle will not include any additional fees for handling.
