Local Tap opened at 600 3rd Street in February 2016. Our location has come a long way since the building was nearly destroyed in the 1906 earthquake. Jerry's Inn opened here in 1938. It was a well-known neighborhood bar where you could find Jerry tending bar while his boys sold cigars and newspapers out the front window. In the sixties and seventies, Jerry's Inn would become the frequent hangout of neighboring Rolling Stone magazine. Rock stars and writers such as Keith Richards and Hunter S. Thompson were some of the iconic regulars. After being bought by two guys from Wisconsin, Jerry's Inn became Zeke's where it remained a San Francisco fixture for the next 23 years.

Now as Local Tap, we intend to maintain the rich history of this legendary space by providing competitive prices and friendly service in a neighborhood atmosphere. Still a hub for fans of the San Francisco Giants, Green Bay Packers, and the University of Kentucky. Local Tap has something for everyone
