"Dawn's Serenity" by Dalhart Windberg
Print, Framed
Dalhart Windberg, Texas State Artist in 1979-1980, is the most famous and successful student of Simon Michael, the founder of the Rockport-Fulton art colony. A native of Goliad, he began to attract national attention in the 1960s with his romantic still lifes and landscapes of Texas, popularized through prints. His coastal scenes of lighthouses, fishing vessels, fishing shacks and other subjects remain some of his most collected. “The Paths of the Masters” and “Dalhart Windberg – Artist of Texas,” published by UT Press, document his life and influence. http://windbergartcenter.com/
