This image was captured in the green house at the Foster Botanical Garden in Honolulu, Hawaii. Two years ago, my father passed away unexpectedly, and our family was gifted a Peace Lily plant. This image reminds me how my father taught me to always be strong, even when I am hit by the storms of life. Even though the Lily was hit by the rain, it didn’t wear her down, she wears the water proudly as it accentuates her beauty and strength.

I had just traveled to Hawaii for a photo shoot and during my down time, I visited the Foster Botanical Garden. I was able to capture the images that demonstrate how water is not only an essential element, but it can become the fluid that organically, uncontrollably creates art all by itself.
