Bio: Najah is passionate about finding common ground where everyone can prosper. She believes that good business that respects people and resources can provide abundant opportunities for all.  

Najah has 12 years of experience in the Supply Chain, where she worked in many industries. She helped organizations to negotiate contracts that were good for the well-being of all shareholders.  Some of her proudest projects are being part of the team that mobilized a relief camp during the 2016 wildfire in Fort McMurray and another in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. She focuses on building relationships that last. She is convinced that we need to focus on building sustainable and resilient supply chains, not just because it is the right thing to do, but because it is the only way for organizations to avoid risk and improve profitability.  

Najah has finished her MBA in 2021, where she focused on Data analysis and sustainability. She believes Data helps people to be objective in their judgment. If we take the time to collect, clean, and then visualize data in a way that allows us to understand the relationship between the inputs and the output of each element of our data, it becomes a priceless asset.   

Najah was born and raised in Syria. In her early twenties, she moved to Canada and studied economics with a minor in computer science at the University of Calgary. She knows firsthand the effect of conflicts and poverty on societies. She believes that we all have a responsibility to improve the lives of our fellow humans.  

Najah lives in Treaty 7 Territory, Region 3 of the Metis Nation of Alberta, in Calgary. In her personal time, she can be found hiking with her husband and two kids or enjoying a meal with her friends and family. However, wherever she is, she always reads a book (or two) and enjoy exploring new ideas.
